Review where this product fits the link design.

Confirm the host port, fibre or cable path, distance and operating environment before selecting the final variant.

Request evidence against the exact product scope.

Available evidence depends on the model and agreed review scope. Ask for the checks needed by engineering or procurement before approving a sample or rollout.

Product selectionHow do I confirm the connector requirement?

Check the module receptacle and the existing cabling plan. Duplex LC, simplex LC, MPO/MTP and copper interfaces require different patching and polarity arrangements, so the connector should be confirmed before quotation.

Compatibility & codingCan a module be recognised but still fail to link?

Yes. Host recognition and optical link operation are separate checks. Fibre type, wavelength, polarity, loss, remote-end optics, speed, lane mode and FEC can prevent a link even when the module is recognised.

Optical link designWhy does fibre polarity matter?

Transmit at one end must reach receive at the other. Duplex LC and parallel-optic MPO/MTP links have different polarity rules; verify patch leads, cassettes and trunk polarity as one system.

High-speed deploymentHow do I choose between parallel and duplex high-speed optics?

Compare the host-supported standards, installed fibre, connector, reach and migration plan. Parallel optics often use MPO/MTP; duplex solutions use LC but may have different optical and FEC requirements.

Plan a technical review
Documents & procurementWhat should be checked on a quotation?

Confirm the product code, variant, quantity, compatibility scope, document requirements, delivery basis, price validity and any sample or acceptance conditions before placing an order.
